Camp Casey, a Michigan-based horseback riding program for kids with cancer and their families, announces its fourth-annual Cowbell Pub Crawl, taking place from 5:30 to 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 23 in downtown Ferndale.
Participants pay $25 and receive a souvenir glass mug as well as exclusive drink specials at The Loving Touch, Woodward Avenue Brewers, The Emory, Como’s and Sneakers Pub.
100 percent of the pub crawl profits goes directly to Camp Casey. “The owners and staff at the Emory are big on community involvement. Ferndale is a small town with a lot of heart,” Emily 
Husband, General Manager of the Emory, said. “We are thrilled to be a part of a fun night for such a great cause!”
“We enjoyed great success with over 250 people attending last year’s pub crawl. Dressing like a cowboy or cowgirl seems to create the best atmosphere,” said Molly Reeser, Camp Casey founder and executive director. “This event would not be possible without the continued support from the outstanding Ferndale establishments that we work with.”
Participants over the age of 21 are encouraged to dress in western-attire but there is no required dress code.

Camp Casey, a 501c3 nonprofit organization founded in 2003, offers three unique programs to children with cancer and their families. Cowboy Camp Outs provide overnight mini-vacations at dude ranches in Michigan; Horsey House Calls bring a horse to the doorstep of kids too ill to attend an overnight retreat; Outlaw Outings provide family-oriented activities, like attending professional sports games, without the expense or hassle of planning. All of Camp Casey’s programs are free for families facing a pediatric cancer diagnosis.
