Agora Aerial Arts & Music Studio to Open April 8

Agora Arts, the newest addition to Ferndale’s creative community, will open its doors April 8 with a range of aerial and music classes for students of all ages and experience levels.
The studio will feature classes in aerial silks, trapeze and lyra, as well as Kuratomi Shindo stretching, tae kwon do, yoga, hooping and private & ensemble music instruction.
Agora will be the first studio in southeast Michigan to of aerial classes for children.
Director, Maria Bucco, said, “I have always wanted to create a program that could bring positive energy and positive people into my community. I grew up playing in orchestras, which really helped me understand the importance of working together to create something inspiring. Giving back to my community is very important to me. At Agora we hope to empower others through creativity, self-expression, fitness, healing and fun!”
Agora Arts was founded to help people of all ages to discover their creative potential, develop self-awareness, and personal wellness
through exercise and creative arts.
Instructors will include Maria Bucco, charter member and former faculty of “El Sistema,” Irina Laura and Sarah Morgan of The Weird Sisters Circus, and veteran of the Detroit music scene, John “T-Bone” Paxton.
Registration is open now with the spring session of classes to begin April 8.
