Chamber Hosts Property Showcase March 21

The Ferndale Area Chamber of Commerce will host the Sixth Bi-annual Ferndale and Oak Park Commercial Property Showcase on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. sponsored by Comcast Business Class. This “Deals & Drinks” event brings together city officials from both Ferndale and Oak Park, Commercial Real Estate Brokers, property owners and businesses looking to relocate to learn more about these two amazing communities and their available commercial property.
The event will kick off at 4:00 pm with a one hour optional bus tour sponsored by Core Partners and Facility Management Partners. The bus will stop at four redevelopment ready properties in Ferndale and Oak Park and a
redeveloped industrial building that will soon house Blue Water Financial. While on the tour, you will also have the opportunity to meet economic development officials from both communities, Oakland County and MEDC. Then from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, we will feature a cocktail reception at the headquarters of Garden Fresh Gourmet complete with drinks and delicious food from Jack Aronson’s former restaurant, Clubhouse BBQ…the place where Garden Fresh was born. While at the reception, guests will mix and mingle, learn more about how to open and business in Oak Park and Ferndale, and grab a full color booklet featuring details on 22 available properties, zoning maps and more.
“Each of our showcases has resulted in a number of signed leases and some closed and pending sales. It may not happen right after the event, but they have been a result of either connections made during the event or from the distribution of the programs,” remarked Ferndale Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Jennifer Roosenberg. “This event has attracted business leaders who don’t typically think of Ferndale or Oak Park to 
take a closer look. Building relationships between city officials and the real estate community also makes it easier for brokers and their clients to navigate the process of opening a business. We want businesses to know that our communities welcome new business and want to make the process as easy as possible.”
