Friends of the Ferndale Library (FFL) will hold a Reception to welcome Jessica Keyser, the new Director of the Ferndale Public Library. The Reception will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013, from 1:00pm-3:00pm, at the Ferndale Public Library, (222 E. Nine Mile Road, Ferndale).

Light refreshments will be served. All are invited to attend.

Keyser has been Director since Nov. 19, 2012.  When taking the position she said “I’ve lived in Ferndale for nearly ten years, and have seen the library grow and change dramatically. The Ferndale library is known throughout the area for its unique programming and distinct character. The city has so much momentum right now, and the library is really a destination in the heart of our thriving downtown. I hope to foster the library’s continued growth and will work to achieve the goals that the community has set for the 20121231peggy_snow_thank_youlibrary in the strategic plan. I am thrilled to be the new Library Director, and excited to see what the future holds for Ferndale!”  She previously served as Director at the Hazel Park Memorial Library.

The Friends of the Ferndale Library (FFL) is a community for lovers of books, music, arts and culture. They build community, sponsor programs, and raise funds to enrich the library.
