Police Arrest Suspects in Taft School Shooting

(Lt. William Wilson, Ferndale Police Dept, Feb 1, 2012)

Police arrested two people in connection with the December 8, 2011 shooting of a Student at Taft school.

One of the two has been released pending further investigation. Another remains in custody and is suspected of being the gunman in the incident.

He is a 17 year old man from Detroit.

This matter is still in the investigative stage. I cannot release any more information about the arrest or the investigation at this time.

Anybody with information that can help with this investigation is urged to call the Ferndale Police (248-541-3650), or Crime Stoppers (1-800-SPEAK UP) for a possible reward.
