Royal Oak Family Dentistry is hosting a Give Kids a Smile event on Feb. 11, 2012 in partnership with the American dental Association. Youngsters aged 3-17 can have their teeth checked up, cleaned and possibly some restorative work at no cost.
The event runs from noon until 4pm, and appointments can be made by contacting Royal Oak Family Dentistry at 248-543-7070.
Owners Dr. Elina Costello and her husband Dan Costello have been in business for over 25 years, and have taken pride in being part of community events like Arts, Beats and Eats in Royal Oak and the DIY Fair in Ferndale.
Ferndale resident Kate Smith works in the office and is organizing the event. She has been with Royal Oak Family Dentistry for over six years, and helps with the office’s many community support activates. “We also held a canned food drive in the office this past November that raised over 500lbs of food and in December the office adopted a family for the holidays. Every November for the last few years we hold a patient appreciation day that’s held the same day as the Royal Oak Holiday Parade. We hand out hot chocolate, doughnuts, have face painting and balloons and just have a good time.”
“This is our fourth year hosting a GKAS event and it’s our favorite of the year,” Smith said, adding that “being able to give back to the community that has given us so much is truly amazing.”
