Huntington Bank Robber also Hit CVS in November

(Lt. William Wilson, Ferndale Police Dept, 01/18/2012)

On Friday, 01/13/12 at about 4:30 p.m. the Huntington Bank at 306 W. 9 Mile in Ferndale was robbed.

A black male, in his 40’s, about 5’10’ to 6’0”, thin build, wearing a blue jacket with a Super Bowl Millennium label approached a bank teller and handed her a note demanding money.  The robber implied that he had a gun.

The teller gave the thief cash and he fled out of the back door and ran north through the parking lot.

The suspect may have been involved in other robberies. He should be considered armed and dangerous. Anybody with information should contact the Ferndale Police at 248-546-2396 or Crimestoppers at 1-800- speakup.. Citizens should not attempt to approach this suspect.

Surveillance photos show that the same person who robbed the Huntington Bank on Jan. 13th also attempted to rob the CVS at 900 West 9 Mile  and Pinecrest on November. Attached are the best photos I have, from each robbery.

ADDITIONALLY, here is a copy of what we believe the emblem on the robber’s jacket looks like.
