Ferndale Recreation Events

(Ferndale Recreation Department, 01/15/2012)

NOTE: updated Jan 21.

Ferndale Recreation has the following events coming up:

January 23, 2012:  We are hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive from 12:30 pm – 6:30 pm at The Kulick Center.

January 27, 2012:  From 12:30 – 2:00 we’re having a Winter Wonderland pre-school party!  This is for children up to age 6 and their parents.  We’ll be having an indoor snowball fight (using marshmallows!), doing a craft and having a snack.  The Kids Korner will also be open for the children to play in.  The cost is $5 per person and we are asking parents to register their children no later than 1/24.

February 10, 2012:  From 6:00 – 9:00 pm we are having our annual Sweetheart Date Night!  This event is open to girls up to age 15.  Girls can bring their favorite date including dads, uncles, older brothers or even family friends.  Don’t miss this chance to show your Valentine how much you love them.  Refreshments, flower and a photo of the couple will be provided.  The cost is $9 per person. Register by February 2.

The Emory (22700 Woodward) will be offering the pre dance dinner to sweethearts again this year. They will offer a complimentary, limited special menu of grilled cheese and fries, chicken tenders and fries, one slider and fries or a sweetheart sized pizza, plus a soda and an ice cream sundae to the sweethearts with the purchase of a regular dinner by the adult.  No reservation needed, but recommended for large groups.  Seating will begin at 4pm and the deal ends at 6, when the dance at Kulick begins.

Also, we are now accepting registration for the Youth Spring Soccer League!  We have teams available for ages 3 – 12  (age as of August 1, 2011).  The season will begin in late March and the games will begin in early April.  Parents can visit our website at www.ferndalerecreation.org for more information.
